What Should Be Kept Private?

Remember, you really have NO idea who you're talking to online!  You can't see who you're talking to.  Sadly, there are people out there who will try to trick you into giving them personal information.  You can protect yourself by keeping your private information private! 

Never reveal via blog, e-mail, chat or IM:

• your name

• your street address

• the name of your school

• your school's address

• your E-mail address

• your phone numbers

• your passwords

• your parent's name

• your parent's place of work  and the hours they work

• photos of yourself

• your social security number

• your bank account numbers
