Our generous Kreitner kids and families donated
to our annual canned food drive for the 20th year! 
The drive benefits the Alpha Omega Food Pantry of State Park. 
This year we collected 2402 cans and $100! 
We were also very lucky to be partnered with the
Collinsville Doubletree Inn, who also donated to our food drive!

Our November Character Education Assembly was great!  Mrs. Reulecke handed out PAWS awards,
Mrs. Bohler and Mrs. Evans performed a skit all about working together and first graders sang for us!

Kreitner was very honored to have Wal-Mart name all the Kreitner teachers
as their "Teacher of the Year"! 
There was a drawing, and ten teachers received $100 gift certificates
and Wal-Mart presented the entire staff with a cake. 
They also provided each Kreitner student with a cupcake and juice!

Delicious food was served.  Our students also visited other schools to perform.

learning about nutrition and generally have a fun time!

for making a wonderful donation to our school!

Our students' grandparents enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with their grandkids!

Mr. Hobbs' class donated the highest percentage of items per student.

Mrs. Hobb's Class had a Reading Rodeo! 
Kindergarten and First Grade were invited to have a Western great time!

Cowboys and Cowgirls served snacks, read stories
and danced the 2 step!  Yee Haw!

Kreitner School hosted "The Great Safety Adventure"!
It is designed to teach children about home safety in a fun and interactive way. 
A 53' tractor trailer has been transformed into Rover's House, complete with a living room,
kitchen, backyard, bathroom and bedroom.  Classes are guided through
the exhibit by a Safety Ranger, and learn how to identify dangers and seek adult help! 
The exhibit focuses on the five leading causes of injury in the home,
 including falls, poisoning, choking, drowning and fire.

Kreitner School participated in Read for the Record on October 2, 2008,
when adults and children around the world gathered together to break
the record for the largest shared reading experience ever.
The book read was "Corduroy" by Dan Freeman. 
It was read in English and Spanish.
